So as you can see, Ruger did indeed set aside serial number blocks for different guns. The numbers from 30,000 to 69,000 were filled with standard autos. The next range for the MK-Is jumped from 29999 to serial number 70,000. Their Standard auto jumped from 24999 to 30000.
